BTHome - Privacy Policy

Overview

BTHome Monitor is designed with privacy in mind. The app does not collect, store, or share personal information with us or third parties.

Data Collection

• Local Device Data: The app reads data from BLE devices using the BTHome protocol. This data is processed and displayed only on your device.
• BTHome Protocol The app only monitors BLE advertisements from the two designated BTHome UUIDs (0x181C and 0x1820). No other Bluetooth data is accessed or stored.
• Webhooks (Optional): If you configure a webhook, sensor data is sent to the URL you specify. This is under your control; we do not receive or store it.

Permissions

• Bluetooth: Required to discover and read data from BTHome devices.
• Background activity (if enabled): Allows continuous monitoring of nearby devices.

Third Parties

No analytics, ads, or third-party tracking services are used.

Your Control

You can stop using the app at any time. All data remains on your device unless you choose to send it to a webhook.
